We were the only guests in the lobby and this should have been a clue to us that something wasn't right. They don't have automatic doors anywhere on the property (the double sets of doors are heavy, too), and since the bell desk staff were sitting around talking amongst themselves, it took us a lot of effort to get our five pieces of luggage through the doors and across the lobby to the front desk.
Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed upon arriving in our room. We had visited the casino once before while on vacation and had fallen in love with the woodwork and quaint antique feel of the old train station. We were so excited to try staying at this beautiful, vintage hotel/casino when the discounted room offer came through my girlfriend's email, I asked her to book it immediately for June 19 to the 23 for us.
